There have been a lot of recent sets generated from the IDEAS group. The next one to come out, will be the Treehouse set 21318. Other recent sets have been the classic Steamboat Willie, Flintstones, and the Popup Book.
I so wish I was at the New York Toy Fair this year. LEGO had a huge booth there and they unveiled their new Hidden Side series. There will be a total of 7 sets, and this is a post for the LEGO Wrecked Shrimp Boat Hidden Side 70419.
Today My eyes and ears perked up when I learned that there was going to be yet another Harry Potter LEGO set released this summer. LEGO 75958 Beauxbatons Carriage Arrival At Hogwarts is going to come out in the summer of 2019 LEGO wave, along with a bunch of other Harry Potter sets.
I just saw this new Harry Potter set pop up on several of the websites I follow for new LEGO Sets. Based on the information included (piece count, pricing, release dates) as well as the high quality box and set photos I thing we can look forward to a brand new Harry Potter LEGO Set – 75965, The Rise of Voldemort
This set is based on a classic scene from the Goblet of Fire, the 4th book (and movie) in the classic Harry Potter Series. I’m not sure why LEGO is releasing new Harry Potter sets this year, the next movie, the 3rd one in the Fantastic Beasts series isn’t going to be released until Nov 20, 2020, but we will have this new Lego set later this summer. Keep reading for more details
LEGO 75965 Pieces & Minifigures
LEGO 75965 The Rise of Voldemort Box Baby Voldemort Minifigure
There are 184 pieces in this set, including 5 minifigures. Harry Potter, Voldemort™, Voldemort™ in baby form, Peter Pettigrew and Death Eater LEGO Minifigures. I don’t see the baby Voldemort in this photo however.
The set seems to have some cool play action items, including gravestones a cauldron, a Tom Riddle Headstone (I sure hope this is a printed piece and not a sticker). I looks like there is also a platform that might lift up revealing something underneath.
I like the Tom Riddle Statue, the Death Eater grave marker, and the darker color plant pieces. This set would be a great one for a draft, too, based on the minifigs and pieces included.

LEGO Rise of Voldemeort Release Date
There are several new Harry Potter sets coming out in the Summer of 2019, and I understand this set will be Released on August 1, 2019 along with the others.
If you want to see when I open the set and build it in real time, follow me on Instagram where I frequently do live feeds and Lego Instagram Stories of new sets.
From the beginning, I was hooked on the Netflix Stranger Things Series. Combine that with my love for all things LEGO, and this guy will be standing at the doors to my local LEGO store on May 15 to be the first one in when it opens to buy the new LEGO STRANGER THINGS set as soon as it is released. The official name is “The Upside Down”, but I’ll get to that in a bit.
Lego 75810 Stranger Things is a new 2019 set that is due to be released on May 15, 2019. According to preliminary box photos it will have 2287 pieces and is labeled for ages 16 and up. At this time the LEGO group has been very secretive about the release, with only some cryptic hints on twitter about the upcoming release. And this is how it should be, after all it’s Stranger Things in LEGO.
There are 2287 pieces in this set, including 8 minifigures. Since LEGO hasn’t released anything official yet, all I can go off of is a grainy box art photo, and rumors from other websites. I see the main build is the Byers house, and there is Sheriff’s Jim Hopper’s Bronco , and that’s all I can tell right now. Of course this article will be updated when I have the set in hand on the 15th.
If you look carefully at the box art, it appears the LEGO Upside Down House is actually two houses, that can be turned over to mimic the Upside down world in Stranger things. I can clearly see the string of Alphabet letters in one of the rooms, as well as Dustin’s room and a few other scenes. More details to come for sure! I fully expect to see some bicycles and maybe even a secret compartment for Seven.
LEGO Stranger Things set price
My understanding is that the LEGO Stranger Things set price is going to be around $200. We all know that LEGO sets are expensive, and the themed ones are even more so. I wouldn’t be surprised if this set was even $300. That puts the pieces in the 11.4 to 7.6 cents range which is realistic with current prices.
LEGO Stranger Things Release Date
May 15, 2019 is the day that the LEGO Stranger Things will be released. That’s a Wednesday, and I’ll be at my local LEGO store when they open, to grab one of the first sets. Then I’ll spend the day unboxing the Stranger Things LEGO set, and building it, to get you a review quickly.

I’ve been slowly learning about new LEGO sets that will be released in May 2019. Some of the information here is official, and has come from the official LEGO Group, while others are leaks and come from unofficial, but mostly reliable sources.
The late spring and early summer months aren’t usually big release times for new LEGO sets. Usually we will see something a bit different being released, and this month is shaping up to be similar to previous years.
Stranger Things LEGO set
There has been some chatter on a few of the websites I follow about a LEGO Stranger Things set. Like most sets that come out this time of year, it will first be released to VIPs and then the general public in June.
LEGO Stranger Things Set 85810
Supposedly it will have 2287 pieces and be set number 85810. Somewhere in the $250 price range. I don’ know how many minifigures it will contain. It is supposed to be a model of Joyce Byers home. I’d love to see a Winona Ryder Minifigure of course, too.
Yesterday, Lego, in conjunction with Disney, announced the newest series of Custom Minifigs (CMF) the LEGO 71024 Disney Series 2 Minifigures.
Which is your favorite? Leave a comment below.
This much anticipated group has 18 different minifigs, from such iconic movies as Frozen, Aladdin, The Nightmare before Christmas, The Incredibles, Hercules, and of course some classic Disney Characters.
With the release of this series, I’m trying something new – you can Pre-Order specific minifigs and I will ship them to you the day they are released. These blind bags will be opened to verify contents, but you will receive the minifigure you request, as well as any accessories, inserts, or extra pieces, plus the bag.
Order your favorite, or the entire series. Click here to visit the store and pre-order your Disney Minifigs.
I don’t know about you, but when I only have ten dollars to spend on LEGO, I usually reach for a construction set. The 2019 LEGO City Construction Loader has all the things needed to keep me (or a kid) entertained for hours.
Lego 60219 Construction Loader is a new 2019 set that was released in January of 2019. It has 88 pieces and is labeled for ages 5 and up.
LEGO 60219 Pieces & Minifigure
There are 88 pieces in this set, including 1 minifigure, a front end loader, and a small construction scene. There is also a little LEGO jackhammer the minifig can hold.
There are 2 bags in this set, plus an instruction manual that when dumped out and put together make the front end loader, the Minifigure, and the little scene.
LEGO 60219 Review
This year, LEGO has quite a few affordable little sets in the City theme, and this Construction loader is my favorite. Mostly because I prefer construction and building sets to Police, or fire, or boat or airplane themes.
As with most sets, the first thing that gets built is the Minifigure. Complee with Blue pants, a safety orange vest over a brown work shirt and a helmet with molded ear protection. There is a grey LEGO jack-hammer that fits perfectly in the claw hands.
Next you build the Digger. It’s a fun build that goes together easily and simply, and has a few techinc pieces that make the bucket in the front go up and down.
Finally, you put together the little fence scene with 4 grey 1×2 bricks that resemble concrete blocks. Stack them together, let the worker break them apart and then scoop them up and start all over again.
All in all these are great little sets. They are affordable at under $10, and very collectible. Even though you don’t get a lot of minifigures for the price, you do get a little set that is very play-able

LEGO 60219 Release Date
This set was released in January of 2019 on the New Year’s Day. I bought this set with my own money at my local Target store, the week after it came out.
Emma is the artistic one of the LEGO friends. Each of the 5 main characters has different traits, and this LEGO Friends set contains items that suit Emma.
Lego 41356 Emma’s Heart Box is a new 2019 set that was released in January of 2019. It has 85 pieces and is labeled for ages 6 and up.
LEGO 41355 Pieces & Minidoll
There are 85 pieces in this set, including 1 minidoll, the Emma friends Minidoll. She is part of a series of 5 similar Heart boxes, one for each character in the Friends Lego series: Mia, Stephanie, Emma, Andrea, and of course Olivia.
This set also comes with a heart shaped box that is made out of bricks in Emma’s favorite color – Purple. There is a special 2×4 printed tile with Emma’s name on it, a LEGO marker that the minidoll can hold in her hand, a 2×2 printed tile of a cat, a black LEGO camera, a pair of scissors, and a mini cupcake, too!
LEGO 41355 Review
This is one in a series of 5. Each LEGO friends character Mia, Stephanie, Emma, Andrea, and of course Olivia comes with their own little brick built box. The box has a removable lid that can be a sage or a platform for her to stand on, plus more. Including some little flowers and a 2×4 LEGO tile with the name Stephanie printed on it.
The lid fits perfectly on the box, and each box for each character is stackable, making you want to collect them all.
Inside the box, is Emma, with a bunch of accessories including a pen, a picture on a printed 2×2 tile of a cat, a camera, and a pair of LEGO scissors.
All in all these are great little sets. They are affordable at under $10, and very collectable. Even though you don’t get a lot of minifigures or minidolls for the price, you do get a lot of accessories that are related to the series.
Putting together a minidoll is very easy – it’s just like a minifigure. Connect the body part to the legs part. Put on the head. Add hair. The minidolls don’t have 2 faces as their heads are shaped differently, and are not compatable with regular minifigures. In fact, no part of a minidoll can connect to a minifig. They are completely different. But for me, they work quite nicely in my LEGO city, as they do resemble Disney Princesses. They are like minifigs in costume if you ask me.
