Background

Carol Danvers was a NASA scientist when she was exposed to a form of radiation that could change imagination into realty that fused her DNA with that of the true Captain Marvel.  She gained the powers of flight, super-durability and super-strength along with energy projection and heat absorption.  She also has the power to be in outer space unaided. Most of the time she works with the Guardians of the Galaxy, although she also has been in Spider Man, Avengers, and a few other story lines.
